Big sunday wind forecast was a big 'horlicks :)
With loads of sailors hanging around, it didn't look great and the rough seas prevented me rigging 8.5
After 2 hrs did the guinea pig run, with 7.7 H2 / Rocket 76 145L and was just a few knots from planing. The board kick off a wave on the plane so it was close, so it was close, but that was it!
Several tried with no luck except for Andy Marsh' who had a couple of runs.
Not sure why I didn't just rig Phantom and reach to the docks, on a easterly coast to coast cruise, probably same reason Colsey didn't go 12M / Starboard...too lazy :)
